A Little Bit of Background
Shalom! I am Akilah Robinson, the proud founder of Stewardship Academy. The vision was revealed 13 years ago during a time of reluctant stillness. Being afforded the opportunity to be a highly qualified educator of 17 years and have a plethora of knowledge and experience in teaching people from ages 3 to 65 in different educational capacities has ignited my passion to develop an education movement / school that offers premier academic instruction that is culturally conducive to many who are underserved in traditional schools.
Starting out offering tutoring service (13 years), community youth programs, and homeschool (6 years) service, we are elated to be reopening and extending our services to many more families. Here at Stewardship we believe that growth comes from being active for the Most High using all of the gifts, talents, and abilities He has blessed us us with. Young stewards learn the importance of walking a road of faith and function according to the bible through three holistic areas:
Prayer: Prayer changes things.
. Proactive Eating: We become experts of how take care of our own bodies through intention study.
Practical Learning: It is fact that we learn best through visual and hands-on connections.
Stewardship Studies
Stewardship Academy is a year round school (quality camps during summer months) and allows part-time (4 day) and full-time (5 day) students to enroll throughout the year as availability permits. We provide support to both home-schooled families and students who thrive in small dynamic learning environments. Here at Stewardship there is an emphasis on visual and kinesthetic (hands-on) learning through Montessori style, Project-based, and Service style learning. The mode of our lessons are considered as workshops—not your ordinary everyday classroom lesson.
